Union University FUGE 2016

My summer is going to be packed full with opportunities to spread the gospel. Like last year, I’m working with life ways camp, FUGE, to guide students to Jesus Christ and to be an example for other followers. Last year, as a staffer, I taught bible study and provided students with opportunities to help local people with painting, construction, or yard work (PCY). Over the 6 weeks I was down there, a couple thousand students had been through camp and almost a hundred salvations and even more rededication’s to faith! In my opinion, nothing is more humbling.

This year I’ll be at Union University in Tennessee as the Recreational Director for FUGE. This time, I will be working 7 weeks and be in charge of all the recreation and track times that the students participate in. It’s a whole new job, but I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity!

Greek Week Award Ceremony

Last week, I mentioned that I thought we would win the Presidents Cup for Greek Week… Well WE DID! Proud of all my brothers for this achievement! The funny part is that we forgot to turn in papers for a few things we would have won for sure.. but it’s ok. It all worked out in the end.

For the 14th straight year in a row, Lambda Chi Alpha has brought home the Presidents Cup!

Uncle to be

We are down to the last 3-4 weeks. Around May 11th, I’m going to be an uncle for the first time! My brother Jarrod and his wife Natalie are incredibly excited for their fast approaching due date and I know I am too! My brother is 30, my sister is 28 and I am 20. So hopefully more grandchildren to come for my parents. I know we are all ready to spoil that baby.

Greek Week

Last year, Lambda Chi Alpha cruised through Greek Week. We won most of the events and took home most of the trophies for the Fraternities. Also we took home the presidents cup for the 13th time! This year seems to be much closer between the Fraternities but I believe that with the family feud and pool games we came out above everyone else. That leaves the Quad games (which are today), the attendance for nexus and campus outreach events, and our Philanthropy. I’m positive that this year Lambda Chi Alpha will take home most of the trophies. As a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha, this is just another reason why I’m proud to be a Lambda Chi!

Hello world!

Hello World! This is the first post for my new Blog!

What is it like in Georgetown College you ask? Well GC is the place for me. I love the fact that it is a small school (which makes it easy to know just about everyone). Also, Tennis is something i wanted to pursue after high school and it’s awesome to be a part of the team here in college. Lastly, I am proud of the Fraternity I joined (Lambda Chi Alpha) and the brothers who make it worthwhile. I may have my ups and downs, but Georgetown College is the right place for me!
